Mace Construct will adopt the name Forco after trading under its current name until the new year, the UK contractor has announced. The company said the new name is short, easy to pronounce and intended to make an impact.
The change follows the separation of Mace Construct and Mace Consult into two businesses in March. Under that arrangement, Mace Consult retained the Mace brand, while the construction business continued as Mace Construct. It will use that name until the new year before moving to Forco.
Alongside the rebrand, the contractor plans to set out a new corporate strategy and productivity targets running through 2030. Executive Chair Mark Reynolds said the business had spent 35 years raising standards and helping to move the industry forward. He said the Forco name reflects a commitment to being the UK's most forward-thinking contractor and its most productive by 2030. Those are stated ambitions and targets, not verified outcomes.
Reynolds also sought to reassure clients that the operating qualities of the business would remain. He said its culture, values and people had underpinned its success, and that clients could expect the same teams, the same focus on delivery and the same approach to creating lasting places and infrastructure. The name and brand are changing, but the company is presenting the transition as one of identity rather than a break in project teams or delivery commitments.
