Packaging distributor Rajapack UK has changed its name to RAJA UK, bringing the Bedfordshire-based supplier in line with the RAJA Group’s brand across Europe. The company says it supplies more than 43,000 UK businesses and has served the UK market since 1998.
RAJA UK is part of the RAJA Group, founded in France in 1954 by Rachel Marcovici and Janine Rocher. The company name comes from the founders’ first names. According to RAJA UK, adopting the group name gives customers one recognisable brand across the 19 European countries the group serves.
Managing director says service stays the same
Tom Rodda, managing director of RAJA UK, said: “Our name has changed, but what customers rely on hasn’t: the same people, the same range and the same next-day service.” He added that with peak trading only weeks away, the company had made planning easier through a free tool that puts a figure on the cost of the busiest weeks.
The name change comes alongside RAJA UK’s free Prepare for Peak tool. The company says it helps businesses estimate what peak will cost their packing operation and what they could save ahead of Black Friday on 27 November. The tool is intended for planning, not for setting a binding commercial price.
Industry benchmarks and user inputs
Users select their industry to see how far orders typically rise at peak. The benchmarks combine Office for National Statistics retail data with RAJA order data from 2023 to 2025. Users then enter their own figures, such as parcels handled per day and the number of people packing.
RAJA UK describes the result as an illustrative estimate rather than a quote. That distinction matters for businesses trying to estimate temporary labour, packaging stock or other peak costs: the output is a planning aid, not a commercial offer.
For existing customers, the company says the practical points of contact and service model remain unchanged. The rebrand is intended to present one brand across the group’s European markets while retaining the UK operation’s customer service arrangements.
The announcement links the name change with peak-season planning. RAJA UK has supplied UK businesses since 1998, and its managing director presented the rebrand as a shift in identity while pointing to continuity in people, range and service. The new tool is positioned as a free planning resource for customers preparing for higher order volumes. RAJA UK says the tool provides an illustrative estimate, not a quote.
